Henry Boyle

HEAD COACH

As a player

Henry is rated 5.9 on DUPR and has played on the PPA & APP Tour, mostly recently playing against Ben Johns, Anna-Leigh Waters, Zane Navratil & Dylan Frazier. 

Henry has posted wins in PPA & APP Pro Main Draws as well as finishing 18th in the 2024 US Open Pro Men’s Doubles. Henry is sponsored by 11SIX24 pickleball and represented by Peak Pickleball Agency. Some of Henry’s most recent wins are Cason Campbell, Grayson Goldin, Chris Haworth and Luke Wasson. 

As a coach 

30 years old from London, England. Henry played high level tennis as a nationally ranked junior and came to the USA on a tennis scholarship to play college tennis. Playing at Concord University & nationally ranked top 50 Chestnut Hill College in NCAA Division 2.

After graduating from Chestnut Hill College, Henry returned to NCAA Tennis as a coach via Averett University, Grove City College and University of Mount Olive, collecting 6 years of experience. 

Henry has been coaching pickleball for 3 years now, via Carolina Beach, the House of Pickleball, Pickle & Tap and other facilities around the Wilmington NC region. Henry specializes in coaching 4.0+ tournament players. 

Alex Milkes

ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

Quickly developing a passion for pickleball since he first tried it in 2021, Alex Milkes has been competing at the 4.5+ level for two years. He has placed in multiple local and national tournaments, including 3rd at the 2024 Body Armor State Games and 1st at the 1st HOP Wars, both Open; 3rd at the 2024 Beau Rivage Invitational (4.5+); and 5th at the PPA Bristol (4.5). Alex has a DUPR Rating of 4.734 in Doubles.

Alex moved to Wilmington in 2002. A ranked junior tennis player, he also played club tennis at NC State and later at the 4.5 USTA level. He is now focused on studying professional pickleball players and fundamental techniques for success.

Drawing on his experience as a tennis coach, Alex is now coaching pickleball at Pickle & Taps, helping local players improve through repetition and drilling practice.

Antoine Hawkins

Associate Head Coach

Antoine Hawkins is currently the Full time Pickleball Professional at Beau Rivage Golf and Resort. 37 years old from Greensboro NC. Antoine went to Grimsley high school where he played baseball and then went on to play collegiate baseball at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree.

After graduating college, Antoine went on to work for the YMCA of Greensboro where he was the Senior level Sports Director, where he would be in charge of all sports for 8 local branches in the Greensboro area. In August of 2023, Antoine decided that it was time for a change. Antoine resigned from the YMCA and started working for country club in Greensboro and this is where he picked up Pickleball and the rest is History. He begin playing and practicing daily, participating in local tournaments and was able to pick up the game very quickly.

In November of 2023, he decided that wanted to do more than just play Pickleball, he wanted to help others learn the game the way that he did, so in November he decided to get certified to teach and become an instructor. Antoine has always been a great leader and coach and once he becomes passionate about something, he’s locked in.

Antoine begin running clinics, private lessons, social nights and leagues at his local club in Greensboro, and once he moved to Wilmington in January of 2024, he just continued to hit the ground running. Antoine quickly joined our team at Carolina Tennis and Pickleball and took the lead on all clinics, private lessons and league nights. He quickly built a solid representation for himself as not just being a great player/coach, but a great guy, that enjoys teaching and helping others.
